I've heard nothing but great things about Coastal Scents for years and have purchased the 252 eye shadow palette in the past and love it so much. A few weeks ago, I decided to spoil myself with something since my birthday is in a week and if you know me, when I treat myself, I mean I'm going to buy myself makeup. I decided to go on to the Coastal Scents website because I wanted to get myself another palette. And there it was, the Favorites Combo right on the home screen. This combo includes the 22 Piece Brush Set, 88 Original Eye Shadow palette, 10 Blush palette and the 10 Camouflage palette - all of this for $39.95. My eyes lit up because I mean, how can you pass on that deal? Might I say that if you were to purchase these products on original price, it would come out to be 80-90 dollars so this was a big deal for me.

I'm not going to lie, at first I was a bit iffy on purchasing this brush set. I never heard as much about the brushes as I have on the eye shadow palettes and such. I am so happy I did get them. They are so soft and easy to work with. I was in shock at how inexpensive they are yet such great quality. I tried out a few eye shadow brushes and was satisfied at how well my eye shadow blended out. I usually have to sit there, blending and blending for a few minutes, but these made it a whole lot easier. A few days later, I tried some face brushes and once again, I was in complete shock.
My favorites out of the whole set definitely have to be:
- Flat Buffer- I've been using it to apply my foundation and let me tell you, my foundation has never looked so beautiful before. It made my face look airbrushed and blends in the foundation well.
- Angle Blush- Since it is made of goat hair, the brush does not pick up that much product which I think is perfect for contouring (I use it for that). Many brushes I've used in the past to contour picked up too much product so I didn't have much control on how much I wanted - with this brush, I do.
*Note: My palettes look a bit beat up due to the fact that I took them to my friend's house to get ready and they got scratched up in my bag. Sorry!
The 88 Original Palette is such a great beginners palette (also on sale for $10.95 right now!!!!!). It comes with a lot of different colors so you can experiment with many different looks and they are VERY pigmented!
I am absolutely in love with the Camouflage Palette! (On sale for $11.95!) I used this on Saturday on four different girls and found a perfect match for each and every one of them. I did notice that they crease a bit but if you powder over it, you'll be fine! I thought they would be a creamier texture, but I personally love that they weren't. This is great for under eyes.
The 10 Blush Palette is a must have! (On sale for 12.95!) The colors are all absolutely beautiful and very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I knew I was going to love from the start since I have seen many Youtubers raving about it.
Overall, these palettes are perfect and are very handy. If you're learning how to do makeup or do many other peoples' makeup, I definitely you recommend you check these palettes out! Coastal Scents is such an affordable makeup brand and everything I've purchased from them so far is great quality. I will definitely be buying a lot more goodies from their website soon.
